>Westerley Evening 10m TT #1


Despite the knee not being quite right I decided to ride the Westerley CC evening ’10’ last night. I’ll miss most of the series because of work, but I wanted to show support.

I tried to keep the revs high to take the strain off the knee. Not very successfully. I did manage to achieve a pretty even pace though. The race distance for the 11 laps is 10.4 miles.

Race stats: Time: 28:24 (21.97mph). First 5 miles: 13:40, second 5 miles: 13:44. Top speed: 26.5mph. Slowest mile (8): 2:47 (21.56mph), fastest mile (1): 2:42 (22.22mph). Average HR: 160bpm, maximum HR: 167bpm. 12 of 20 finishers. Ave. cadence: 78rpm. Winner: Roy Brook (Sigma Sport) 23:57
