>We were in York this weekend and went to see the last night of the Theatre Royal‘s production of Death of a Salesman. It was a good production, with George Costigan on fine form as Willy Loman. Dawn Allsopp was the designer – she co-designed my first main stage play when she was resident designer at Worcester’s Swan Theatre.
This is the third or fourth production I’ve seen of the play. It seems to take an age to grind into action, but it is nearly always a moving journey.
York itself was chock-a-block with Christmas shoppers. In an effort to avoid the crush we went to the National Railway Museum on Sunday to look at Bullet trains, Royal trains and an old Herefordian friend King George V.
