>Cold #2

>I’ve still got a cold. Last night I took it into town to see God of Carnage at the theatre. It’s not nice being stuck on the tube and then in a theatre with a cold. But I guess that it’s not as bad as being sat next to someone with a cold. Sorry about that folks.

Not being on the bike has given me a chance to start work on my cycling club’s Web site. There’s still a lot of work to do.

While I’m not training the remarkable John Jones will be pounding out the miles. He is in training for La Marmotte – a 174km French Alpine sportive that climbs the Col de la Croix Fer, Col du Telegraphe and Col du Galibier before finishing up the 21 hairpin bend climb to L’Alpe d’Huez. That’s a monster ride. John is riding to raise funds for the Royal Marsden Hospital where he is being treated. You can read about the challenge and John’s progress in training on his blog. You can also make a donation there.
